九: Avril Lavigne - The Best Damn Thing


等了兩年多, 這位加拿大天后帶來了更多驚喜. 一個「Hey, Hey, You, You」《Girlfriend》唱得街知巷聞, 另一曲《When You are Gone》感動演繹成為本人的最愛. 展示了全面的Avril, 無論是快還是慢, 同樣的穩定和感動.

八: 李克勤 - My Cup of Tea


碟最緊要有感情; 歌最緊要有味. 終於李克勤的歌有了味, 少了少了點, 總好過沒有. 《紙婚》和《花落誰家》唱了個味來, 《晚安》和《小寶寶》就像在你床邊唱給你聽, 甜在心頭. 荼雖然味少, 但淡淡的好好味!

七: 張敬軒 - 酷愛


好一個軒仔, 好一個《酷愛》; 電子迷幻的《迷失表參道》, 慘情的《我的天》, 懷舊的《遙吻》. 男金遲早是你的, 排排隊繼績好音樂.

六: James Blunt - All Lost Soul


上尉詩人. 上面說過, 一隻碟最緊要有感情, 有味. 這隻籌備了兩年的大碟, 由James Blunt要避世到西班牙外島作曲可見誠意可嘉. 《Same Mistake》的纏綿旋律, 《Carry You Home》唱的另類自殺題材, 純假音的演繹感動. 自戀的《Give Me Some Love》和《I Really Want You》的懷舊搖滾. 這杯浸了這麼久的茶, 味重不苦, 正.

五: 陳奕迅 - Listen To Eason Chan


放棄《富士山下》或《落花流水》, 改以少眾的舞曲及個人魅力取勝. 其實只要唱者仍然是陳奕迅, 甚麼歌一樣全城追捧, 全城哄動. Moving On Stage 1.

四: 盧巧音 - Process


失蹤四年, 出的雖只是EP, 一樣令人動容, 尤如俗世中的清泉. 明明白白地向容祖兒示威. 女金又如何, 唱足這麼多年, 歌還是倒模而出? 《空白》那脫不了的青澀感, 《圍牆》和《千歲》的頂峰, 前者盡顯全能的可朔性, 後者帶來感情的補充. 短短七首歌, 勝過你容祖兒七隻碟, 何哉?

進入三甲, 其實排名都已經分不清先後, 總之是好碟.

三: 麥俊龍 - Chapel of Dawn


脫離偶像派, 但離實力派仍有些距離. 繼續另類, 這次連像《濛》般的商業歌也沒有. 代之, 全碟一氣呵成的音樂, Smooth, 沒停的播放. 黑暗的, 不止是心, 不止是音樂, 可能還帶他本人對香港樂壇的失望. 唯一的缺點, 《Poor U》一個人兩重唱的演繹太差, 浪費, 練多點歌吧!

二: 張震嶽 - OK


《OK》, 很OK. 說過, 茶要浸過才有味, 這杯茶浸了差不多六年, 味都苦了, 太濃; 但苦得來, 我喜歡, 但這樣的張震嶽我喜歡. 怕就怕《思念是一種病》太華麗, 不怕《路口》去你媽的空虛, 卻怕《很難》的寂寞. 《就讓這首歌》侯小姐和熱狗將你帶走, 來一個真情的《再見》. 怕你不會反省, 張震嶽幫你.

一: 方大同 - 愛愛愛


愛上一首歌有多難? 只要四個音, 登登登登. 聽方大同是享受. 大豪大放, 管他是《愛愛愛》還是《Goodbye Melody Rose》, 還是翻唱的《If You Leave Me Now》. 總之就是好, 那怕是小眾, 好歌是大家有耳能聽的.

但這報告能多少反映到真實?

從麥卡倫來看英格蘭的通病

英格蘭在下年的歐國盃黯然出局, 相信是不少球迷心痛的事; 在香港英格蘭情意結可謂十分普遍, 大家對英格蘭的球星都非常熟悉, 更有人認為(包括本人)英格蘭論人腳絕對是歐洲甚至世界一線的球隊. 那, 這隊被英國傳媒形容為 "Now or Never" 的球隊到底犯下甚麼錯?

相信大家先注意到的, 是教練麥卡倫. 的確麥卡倫不是好教練, 甚至至今我仍認為麥卡倫根本未學滿師就出山. 麥卡倫未學滿師的證據多的是, 在對克羅地亞一戰中已經可以說明, 首先是戰術, 在求和之下打4-5-1無可厚非, 而打單防中雙進攻中場也是非常常見, 但中場分工卻未見有重大提及, 及至林謝巴三人在分工極為混亂, 更甚的是雙特合作的效果一直都令人擔心, 中場已算是英格陣容最齊整的一環, 如果連中場都分揮不到效用, 就似一場比賽打少5人一樣, 讓克羅地亞輕易誇越中場線直搗沒有任何主將的豆腐後防, 抵輸. 在球員選擇上, 麥卡倫仍然不合格, 在多次重大的球員選擇中都選錯了. 先棄用碧咸, 再到雙特的決擇, 後來力撐信心盡失的羅賓臣, 到最後突然掉轉搶頭棄用羅賓臣而選入卡臣.

其實英格蘭真正犯下的錯, 不止用了一個不合格的領隊, 球員心態和足總以至球會的配合都被歐洲列強比下去. 先談球會, 從來球員為國家隊效力, 球會不會作出太多的意見, 唯獨是英超球隊特別多麻煩, 除了費Sir不斷想阻止球員在國際賽受傷外, 足總對這些投訴更暗中鼓勵 (以賠償奧雲受傷一事可知), 令英格蘭欠缺一個向前走的大方向. 大多球員都認為國家隊比賽只是例行公事, 還有不少球員在球會中都是重心球員, 令英格蘭踢得似一班烏合之眾, 全無隊形可言. 而且英格蘭好球員位置上重疊甚多, 明顯例子有雙特, 巴利或夏格等等, 令球員不免有爭波踢的情況.

說真, 英格蘭的問題多多, 那個教練接手都會是個大的挑戰, 日後我再分析候選的領隊人選.

Leopard出現Blue Screen

Leopard推出不久, 就爆出出現Blue Screen的問題, 是Apple向M$全面投降?

原來不是, 是Apple的一些第三方外掛軟體向M$投誠, 打開Leopard的城門; 相信不少為了Apple和PC反面的Mac友也想不到能重見Windows的經典Error畫面吧XD

不過Apple行動的確蠻快, 已經釋出解決方法.

My Review of Leopard

Background
Since I have a Macbook last year, I am very impressed with Mac OS X 10.4.8 Tiger, it is a fantastic OS and I think it is sightly better than M$ Windows XP Pro. Even after Windows Vista came out in the new year, after a trail of Windows Vista, I still think Tiger is a bit better than the new OS Vista even-known Tiger is a 2-year-old OS, that is consider to be an old OS in technology. After the preview of Leopard, I am full of confident about the new OS of Apple which is released on 26th October.
I have a short trail of Leopard today in Apple Shop in Cardiff. And this is my own review afterward.

Finder, Quick Look and Stack
To start with, like many people, a start with Finder, which is like “explorer” in windows term. The new 3D-looked dock do give me quite a surprise although many people found it is annoying and ugly. To be honest, I am quite uncomfortable about the new blue spot under the running application instead of the old black little triangle. (See image(s) below)

However, the 3D-look dock is acceptable, what really annoy me is the new folder icon. It does not look better than the old icon in Tiger at all, in fact, I am very disappoint about Apple, as Apple is a well-known company which have a nice design. (See image(s) below)

But I don’t think it will be a great problem, as these icons can easily be replaced. So I carry on to explore the Finder, the new Cover Flow view work prefect with Quick Look. I have to praise Apple about the introduce of Quick Look, Quick Look is a great addition of Leopard. Quick Look is as it is named, really quick to response in various types of file, for example, pdf file, word document, powerpoint, keynote, excel or number file. Quick Look also support image and video preview, like quicktime file and JPG file. What amaze me is Quick Look can even remember the position of video you have preview previously. To give you a impression of how fast Quick Look can be, I can give you some figure, to open any types of file listed above, it is less than a second to preview after you press space (which is the Hot-Key of Quick Look). Just blink your eye, the preview will be there. And I am surprise after trying Quick Look without Cover Flow view.
I am not going to comment a lot for Stack, but I am confused about adding new Stack in the dock. I try to add a new Stack for my Application folder, but I can’t until a make a new short-cut in the desktop. But to be honest, I don’t find Stack very useful at all, because the new Stack is only like finder, it doesn’t do anything for me at all.
The new menu bar is alright for me, although it has been criticised by many review. But in general, the new look of finder doesn’t impress many people, including me, but I am enthusiastic about the addition of Quick Look, and this is one of the reason to drive me towards Leopard.

Space
Space is a new feature in Leopard, and is promoted as one of the important new feature of Leopard. I agree with many people, Space did change the way we open application and again Space work in a very impressive speed. However, as with many user, I am not some sort of person who like to open lots of applications and multi-tasking a lot in the same time, so even-know Space is a great feature, but in practice it will not help me very much as Apple expect. And consider that opening a lot of application, especially application which use up a reasonable amount of RAM, using too many space is a waste and could effectively slow the computer down when you try to multi-tasking in the same time.

Time Machine
Time Machine is also a key new feature promoted by Apple. Yes, it is sure that Time Machine works great, but not with the speed that is being shown in the guide tour or the keynote in the WWDC event when it is first published to the public in summer 2006. I accept that the fact that Time Machine need some time to load, and to be honest the speed in acceptable in Windows OS, but compare to the speed in Mac OS X, the speed is rather take quite a long time to launch.
Tactically, Time Machine is not a back up programe, but it works in a similar way. I do find it quite tricky as Time Machine only back up your file in an hour or longer, that means any files that is create thought out an hour, and lose accidently will be lose completely as Time Machine haven’t be able to back up the file yet. But, as I say, if it is the case, you just have to think this is not your day today, as I don’t think any back up programe can do any better that this.

Safari, Mail, and other Applications
Safari 3.0 is very quick, it takes about a half of the time to launch compare to the previously version that is in Tiger. Yes, it is quicker to launch but I am hardly find any great different with previous version that I am using now. This is great but also a weaknesses. One new feature that is point out is now you can clip a web page and browse it in the dashboard, but it is not a very useful feature and I find that is a waste of time to do that.
Mail 3.0 is also a new feature, but I didn’t have enough time to try it, as it is a public computer. But it is not as easy as Apple describe to set up, as I try to set up my Hotmail.
Photo Booth, a new feature of Tiger. It is a let off that Apple didn’t update the effect of Photo Booth. But I have no time to try the new feature of Photo Booth such as video recording. But overall, I am quite disappoint with no new effect add in, as in the WWDC event has shown a new cool star-war effect.
Dictionary is now feature Wikipedia as a type of dictionary, the speed to load Wikipedia is acceptable, but I think it is depend on the speed of the internet. Other new direction like Apple Dictionary is also a welcome feature, as now word like iPod, Mac, iMac, Macbook and iPhone is no longer a new word for dictionary.

Overall
Yes, although there is some let off the design of the new look in Finder, especially of the new icon, consider the number of new features of Leopard (Apple promoted more than 300 features have been updated) and the great addition of Quick Look, Space and Time Machine, Leopard is a must-buy OS. Compare to Windows Vista, which have a complete new layout, and is promoted as the new 2007 OS, Leopard is not a 2007 OS, it is a 2009 or even later OS as I think Windows will take at least 2 year to catch up the technology that Leopard is shown.
Once again, Apple do what Steve Jobs is describe Apple is like when iPhone is published, “Always 5 years or more above the current technology”. Leopard and Vista represent a new revolution of new technology, and in the mean time, Leopard seems be ahead in the race of technology. However, Apple Mac itself has only have 6% market share in USA, and unlike Windows, the lack of support software for third-party company is a major weakness. The lack of entertainment like games is also a very big challenge which Leopard will face when comparing with Windows.

再見摩連奴

摩連奴終於離職.

對, 終於離開了; 傳聞沒有錯, 剛剛看了車路士發出的官方宣言, 摩連奴是和車路士和平分手的, 當然像不少有錢夫妻一樣, 分手都有善養費的, 據稱摩連奴得到的是二千五百萬英鎊, 比亨利賣住巴塞的金額還要大五百萬鎊. 不少人憎恨車路士的理由都是摩連奴, 正如摩連奴第一個在車路士的記者會, 他不是一個普通人, He is the special one for Chelsea. 摩連奴走了, 大家還會對車路士如此反感嗎? 大概不會.

說真的, 我始終認為摩連奴是當今世界上最好的教練, 不單如此, 是我認為最可怕的對手; 摩連奴有的, 不只是頭腦, 有的還是運. 記得摩連奴第一季登陸英超, 帶來了由葡萄牙來的 4-3-3 無敵邊路快放突入陣式, 殺全英超一個不及, 輕易奪得冠軍, 輕易地破了曼聯的紀錄, 輕易地, 一切來得輕鬆, 一切都來得容易. 我覺得那時的車路士比現在完美得多了, 兩翼用不完的體力, 中間有未成名的杜奧巴, 後面有"滴滴地"林伯. 第二季考驗來了, 但始終仍然不夠, 原因, 是因為主力球員無病無痛的關係, 摩連奴帶的頭兩年, 林伯, 泰利, 洛賓和祖高爾能夠上陣到9成以上的賽事, 加上超人的穩定性, 令車路士無敵於英超.

好景不常的, 踏入第三季, 摩連奴被逼棄用自己拿手的 4-3-3 , 反而因為波歷克和舒夫真高的開盟而被逼選用 4-4-2. 在 4-4-2之下, 祖高爾未打先傷, 洛賓則因為位置被相應拉後, 而和中場球員較多碰撞而不停受傷. 雙防/攻中場的情況下, 一向獨攬分波大權的林伯顯得不太配合, 在這些情況下, 舒夫和波歷克沒有表現是必然的, 畢竟就算表面打的 4-4-2 , 車路士的一眾舊球員始終適應 4-3-3, 矛盾之下, 沒表現是一定的. 可是或許是多了一個合擋, 一向夕夕無名的杜奧巴在該季打出成績, 不單成為神射手(帶有幸運成份, 始終當年的亨利大半季在養傷, 他亦是近年入得最少入球的神射手).

摩連奴對班主的不滿就是由此而起, 我想大概沒有領隊會喜歡被逼選用自己不愛的陣式, 不愛的球員, 對一些雞肋的球員, 一點辦法也沒有, 更不能對他們說重話. 不過摩連奴的高調相信同樣令班主不滿, 阿布拉莫維奇大概認為他應該花時間在他的"建議"上, 既然可以高談對雞肋球員的不滿, 為何不改變打法去配合他們. 對著一個不懂足球的班主, 從來是難搞的, 尤其是當班主以為自己懂的時候.

接替摩連奴的, 是班主阿布拉莫維奇的親信, 可以遇見他對班主的計劃會言聽計從, 到時我們可以欣賞一下自以為懂足球的油王比起摩連奴是誰比較勵害.

傳奇人物 - 蘇斯克查

曼聯其中一個傳奇人物蘇斯克查於昨天突然宣佈因傷困擾而即時退役, 令人覺得萬分心痛. 蘇斯克查是一個非常藉得尊敬的前鋒, 指的不單只他高超的入球觸覺, 而是他的態度. 在曼聯十一年, 他從未穩坐過正選位置, 但他沒有因此放棄, 每每在後備出場的時候入球, 更從未威脅費格遜給他正選位置, 他只坐在後備席上等, 等自己上場的機會, 等有一刻費格遜給予他正選的機會......

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer brings the curtain down on 11 years at Old Trafford with one simple statement of fact proving his worth.

No-one - inside or outside Old Trafford - can muster up a single bad word to say about the Norwegian whose boyish appearance won him the nick-name "The Baby-Faced Assassin."

Solskjaer has caused many a curse from opposing teams and supporters with his unerring eye for the target, or his uncanny habit of scoring the goals that win matches, and on occasion trophies.

But once partisanship is removed from the equation, Solskjaer will receive nothing other than praise or respect from every football fan.

In an era of big-spending and even bigger egoes, has there ever been a better value-for-money deal than the £1.5m Sir Alex Ferguson paid Molde for Solskjaer's services in 1996?

366 appearances and 126 goals later, it is difficult to come up with a better transfer concluded by Ferguson.

At a time when many clubs, paricularly Liverpool, were having mixed fortunes in the fledgling Norwegian market, Ferguson hit the jackpot in quite spectacular fashion when he unearthed Solskjaer.

The highlight of Solskjaer's career will always be that winner in the 1999 Champions League final against Bayern Munich, capping United's dramatic injury-time comeback.

But earlier that season he kept the treble bid on course with another late, late winner against Liverpool in the FA Cup at Old Trafford.

This was Solskjaer in essence - maybe not a scorer of great goals, but a great goalscorer and a scorer of priceless goals.

He was a better footballer than many gave him credit for, so much more than a penalty area predator.

Indeed, it was his ability to flourish in a right-flank role that helped persuade Ferguson it was time to sell David Beckham to Real Madrid in 2003.

Sadly, persistent injury problems meant Ferguson's theory was never fully put to the test.

Solskjaer the player has been suitably decorated, his career well-chronicled.

But admiration is just as great for Solskjaer the professional.

Solskjaer has never put a foot out of place at Old Trafford, never caused Ferguson a moment's trouble.

He has taken his place on the bench when he may have felt he deserved to be in the starting line-up.

The striker made his point emphatically, but not with words or threats.

He responded by turning games too numerous to mention after emerging as a substitute.

And on one memorable occasion, he scored four times in the last 20 minutes after coming on in an 8-1 win at Nottingham Forest.

And in a time when foreigners infiltrating our game are often portrayed as money-grasping mercenaries, Solskjaer has displayed nothing but unswerving loyalty to Old Trafford.

Contrast his demeanour with Gabriel Heinze, a player who never came close to touching his achievements or affection at United.

Heinze attempted to engineer a move to arch-rivals Liverpool before eventually skulking off to Real Madrid.

It was behaviour that would not have entered the head of Solskjaer.

It was loyalty repaid by Ferguson when he handed him a new contract despite constant injury problems.

Solskjaer's retirment will sadden Ferguson both professionally and personally, but he may yet return in a coaching or ambassadorial role.

And, knowing Solskjaer, he would continue to be a credit to himself, United and football.

無書好睇

回到香港, 幾乎就沒撲到書局看有沒有仍在追的小說; 可惜, 這一年能看的書實在太少.

赤川的書只出了幾本, 我會看的系列更只得一本; 亦舒還好, 有兩本.

長假漫漫, 三本書又如何餵飽我的慾望? 但是去到圖書館, 正式放棄; 投降, 唯有一唉無書好睇.

短記

兩個禮拜了, 報告一下發生了的事吧!

1. 試後餘波: 本以為考完試放鬆了的我, 竟然還要上堂!? 全班都叫苦之時, 五分鐘過後我才開始興幸自己有堂上, 原來在學校是可以這樣悶的, 尤其是現在的我.

2. 溏心風暴: 考完試就即追剛下載好的 溏心風暴 不過這熱情很快冷卻因為......

3. 重玩魔力: 魔力是我最後一個玩的ONLINE GAME, 放棄除了因為一個意外, 還有沒錢. 現在的私服實在太好了, 不用錢就得玩, 雖然水準方面不及官服, 但免費二字已贏得不少掌聲. 不只我還有幾個朋友在玩.

4. 毒男生活: 很簡單 --- 睡 --> 魔力 ---> 學校 ---> 魔力 ---> 睡

5. XANGA死: XANGA終於死了. 今日一上, 就說要OFFLINE REPAIR, 個人覺得很無奈, XANGA終於成為HACKER的目標.

6. 信與愛情: 在發覺XANGA, 閒來無事(魔力在掛機)時上高登打了個白鴿轉, 爬了這裡的十八頁長POST (當然有九成是膠回); 看到粉紅字的"女"會員狂插事主, 也有人稱他為假膠, 說真, 看高登都是為了一笑, 我理那事是真還是假. 不過事主的確帶出了一個可以深思和討論的話題出來, 一討論, 又一個男女大不同: 男和女都是用下面想的, 因為愛情本就是下面的事, 但男和女的下面的事是完全不同的意毘, 信望愛從開始就必需一起出現, 缺一方也不是愛. 我覺得那女網友還是早走早著, 要不就懶死不走, 逼他發生關係.

7. 始終有你: 福佳始終有你有新版了, 個人比較喜歡這新版, 原因是內容方面刪去了不少高登味, 令人聽得舒服多了, 相關的MV可以到這裡一看, 看完喜歡可以代表我七一到維園逼一個下午^^

說短, 這短記也不算短吧? 不過其實還有不少長文要打, 明天就會陸繽出來了.

Apple iPhone備受關注

Apple 即將在6月29日在美國地區推出的 iPhone 備受市場關注.



據美國 Solution Research Group做的市場調查顯示:
iPhone 不單備受期待, 單中更包括老中青三代, 男女老少都對這產品有興趣, 更可能成為首批買家. 當中有31%是15-24的青年, 32%是25-34歲打工仔, 31%是35-49歲的中年, 50歲以上的高消費群也有6%. 結果更說, 肯定會買以售價$499.72的iPhone的人當中, 已有28%是女性, 雖知iPhone設計陽剛味十足, 仍能吸引28%女性用家實在好奇. 但調查沒有說明有幾多人肯定會購買和有興趣, 更別說給你有興趣和肯定會購買的比例. 只說肯定購買平均年齡達31歲, 結果可信性存疑. 調查結果最後說明58%被訪者是大學畢業生, 可能的收入達$75,000, 比國內平均高26%, 當中48%買家來自紐約和加洲.

iPhone的功能不是頂尖, 如鏡頭只有200萬CMOS, 沒有3G功能等是一大死穴, 但肯定的是現在沒有iPod但有計劃買的人有接近一半考慮購入iPhone代替iPod.

等iPhone的朋友們可要失望了, Apple暫時未有提前在亞洲推出iPhone的計劃, 如無意外2008年中iPhone才有望在亞洲地區上市, 歐洲地區最快也要2007年尾; iPhone暫時在台機(上台才有的機), 有傳聞說iPhone是不能換SIM CARD的, 如果屬實, iPhone的吸引力將會大減, iPhone將在6月29日在美國AT&T網絡推出, 到時一切自有分曉.

說了這麼多, 說回自己, iPhone的Multi-touch的確很誘人, 但鏡頭的表現如何是我的一大考慮, 沒有自動對焦, 更不知是拍攝介面如何, 是否可以調較白平衡等,說真如果鏡頭真的不如理想, 我或者會等Apple推出iPhone NANO或其他更新版也考慮購買. 另外要等到明年也能有亞洲版, 也令人大跌眼鏡. 看來暑假還是買N73好了.

麥卡倫: 還是始終你好

英格蘭大勝3比0, 碧咸在下半場交出兩個助攻, 算是有版有眼.
而傷好的奧雲也有一球進仗, 令麥卡倫的壓力大減.
想當初, 想像麥卡倫想也想不到碧咸對英格蘭如此重要;
的確碧咸亦和以前一樣, 全場都有走動, 不時有份參與進攻, 但無甚效果.
然後只是偶然一發傳中或自由球, 就似完成自己的任務.

但為何英格蘭缺少碧咸會如此差?
其實原因不少, 首先, 碧咸的偶然一發的確很強.
看他的傳中或自由球, 你會覺得很美, 真的是七旋斬, 香蕉形.
橫看所有世界級球員, 無人會有如此完美的傳中.
而且英格蘭近十年只認為自己缺少左翼, 所以大多數球會都集中訓練左翼.
令右翼人選接近零, 加上英格蘭已有不少好的中場, 但都不是右翼.
面對競爭, 加上雙特和祖高爾已幾乎是必然正選還有人氣急升的夏格維斯.
麥卡倫曾想過用謝拉特作右翼, 效果和利物蒲時一樣, 嚴重影響她的表現.
時藉碧咸狀態回復, 所以重召碧咸的必然的決定.

重召碧咸效果有三,
第一. 的確有這個需要, 至少讓碧咸訓練一下新一代.
第二. 可以傳移視線, 令傳媒對雙特的壓力大減.
第三. 重召碧咸有助鼓勵士氣.

現在重召的碧咸, 又有問題了;
碧咸應否選開下年的歐洲國家盃? 還有, 萬一碧咸又再出現問題, 那點算?
